St. Xavier’s college and Xavier Institute of Management jointly celebrated and commemorated the feast of St. Francis Xavier, the Heavenly Patron of the college on 30th November 2017 in a prayer service organized by the management of both the institutions. Rev. Fr. Jose Mathew, former Principal and Head of the Department of Botany and Biotechnology, delivered a message on the contribution of St. Francis Xavier in developing the visions and heritage of the Jesuit institutions and its rich heritage. The students and staff of both the institutions were present.

 

It was followed by a get-together of the retired staff and present staff of the college at the auditorium. The Principal of the college, Dr. (Fr.) V Y Dasappan S J welcomed the gathering. It was followed by a prayer service led by Rev Fr. Linto S J of Vidyaniketan. The management and staff representatives paid floral tributes to the Heavenly Patron. The Manager of the college, Adv. (Fr.) Pious Vachaparambil and Prof. K V Joseph felicitated the gathering. The Retired staffs were able to refresh their college reminiscences with their former colleagues and the present staff.
