Teacher's Day Celebrated

Happy Teachers' Day...
Teachers' Day was celebrated on the 5th of September at St. Xavier’s under the auspices of the AICUF unit of the college. At a function presided over by the Principal Rev. Fr. V Y Dasappan S. J., students came forward to greet their loving teachers with flowers and sweets and as usual lavished their praises on them. Teachers’ in return expressed their affection and appreciation by singing melodiously. Dr. Lekha Narendran, a retired faculty from the Department of BMMC of Xavier’s exhorted the teachers to be the conscience keepers and prophets of the time to come in todays’ modern world. She also stressed on the need to be adaptable and learned in view of the challenges in the present era. All through, she also reminisced her good time as a teacher of Malayalam over two decades at this famed campus.
