CCTV's installed in the campus

St. Xavier's College has successfully installed CCTVs in the campus and they are fully operational by now. The surveillance system covers besides the entrance, portico, library and corridors, all the four exam halls in the college. The present surveillance system, installed as per the directions of the University, consists of 27 individual camera units and a large monitor at the principal's office. Since it is connected to Optical Fiber Cable in the campus it is possible for the administration to accesses the inputs from cameras online from anywhere.  This ambitious project, completed with the financial assistance of the college PTA, ensures round the clock safety of the institution and all along acting as a remedial measure against all sorts of malpractices related to exams and instances of ragging and harassment in tandem with the UGC and University stipulations on these measures.
